Definitely sour but flavorful & the skin is quite thick, flowers are larger than guava flowers (P. guajava) < cas (P. fried...) flowers < P. acutangulum.
Harvested my first crop from a ~5-6 year old seedling. Was in a pot for about 2.5 years, took off in the ground. Fruit are smaller than what I recall on the mother tree. I expect the crop and fruit to get larger. Skin is thick but spotted, not clean in my area Redland. Flavor is excellent, very happy with it.

Can't advise much on your growing conditions since I am in Redland / Miami south south Florida.

Any sign of fruit setting? What is the difference between Madruno and Acuminata?!
