Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Guavas: High Protein Fruit

It’s easy to overlook fruit as a functional food, but guava really shifts that thinking. Between the vitamin C, fiber, and now the dopamine angle, it’s basically a natural nootropic

I have Meyer lemon, Washington Navel orange, Ponderosa lemon, Key lime, Buddah's hand citron, Ruby red grapefruit cuttings. I also have Mexican white guava, peanut butter fruit cuttings and a bunch of dragon fruit cutting. I am pretty sure they are Vietnamese white but I'm not completely sure. I will trade for anything that can go in a zone 7b food forest, avocado, starfruit, and other citrus I don't have. Shipping works as well. If none of these interest you I can pay for some scions. Please be aware that I can't ship citrus to some states.

Ok, thanks fruitnut, good to know the fruits from Amanda should get larger later on my small plant. I bought her tree last year. My fruits look like the size of your photo1, very small.

I can see how your fruits in photo2 looks like what I was hoping it would be. Once I get my grafted branches established I will know how to trim it for more than one crop. I heard someone else mention the tip pruning as you said for Thai Dwarf and it gets multiple fruiting in a season. My Thai Dwarf fruits thousands of berries but since it has hardly any taste, I don't need it to fruit but once a year. I'm only using my Thai Dwarf tree to make rooted cuttings from it.

Found this interesting

Quote
When the pistils of S. citrullifolium were pollinated with the pollen grains of S. aggregatum, the fruits became smaller than those of the parents and contained many uufilled seeds but no filled ones. The colour they assumed when ripe was intermediate of the fruits of their parents.

I will also offer to sell my p.decaisneana cuttings for the same price as above (2 for $15).

The p.decaisneana is easy to root cuttings, either put the cutting in water and wait until you get roots or just plant the cutting in a pot, keep in shade until you see new growth.
