«

is it possible to use scions of nutrient deficient trees for grafting? the leaves are very pale/white, the stems are light green.
the rootstocks I'll use are healthy and growing well.
should I give it a try?
thanks!

While grafting healthy they green scions is is always first choice, I believe you could successfully
graft the light green scions you ask about.

now I can also give myself an answer
it worked fine, same success rate as others, the new shoots of the scion don't look deficient
