That is so awesome, thanks!
One of the reasons we named our tropical greenhouse "Daintree"!

Mine too, if we ever make it back to the area. Wish I had known about it when we were at Cape Trib 20-some years ago.

No, but I did often visit " Next Door". on the same road, and did buy some fruit when Mrs Carle ran a fruit market stall at Pt Douglas.
The pic of the front gate of Carle's brought back memories. Shrouded in foggy rainy mystery.

I was up there too around then, a few times 97 -- 99.
I was lucky that someone I knew was living up there, so was able to spend a bit of time.

Also remember they filmed Island of Dr Moreau, with Val Kilmer and Marlon Brando. Never saw those two but did see an Asian Forest cat, one of the animal cast.
Amazingly Marlon Brando wanted the script changed, so that Dr Moreau, who always wore wide brimmed hats and thick sunscreen,
wanted the final reveal to be that when he took his hat off, revealing a blowhole on the top of his head, and that he was in fact a Dolphin hybrid...Genius.
