Hello, i will be setting a few air layers on field maple, hornbeam and elm trees for starting bonsai, and was wondering what is the best time to set them? Read that its best to wait till the plants have their first set of leaves hardened, but as awlays i would like to hear an first hand experience.
Can i set them before the trees have leafed out ??
