Hi All,
As part of the California Rare Fruit Growers, San Diego board I am helping to spread the body of knowledge that Mr. Leo Manuel collected during his time here on earth. He was deeply involved with our chapter. He helped to trial mango varieties here and created some varieties of his own. These varieties are being entrusted to members of our chapter for propagation. The link below is for his Mango Notes. Please share this knowledge. His varieties will be available as our club propagates more material. Have a great week!

Its also on our chapter website, crfgsd.org. Look in the presentations area.

Is Leo’s family planning to keep and maintain the property? It would be a shame to lose his life’s work and all the mature trees.
Thanks for sharing his notes.
-
It is going on the market on the 18th.

The property will be on the market? How much is it and how big?
It will be an honor to inherit Leo Manuel's trees.
-
It would be nice if a mango enthusiast gets it.

Notes from the Realtor:
The home is a cute one story up on the hill in beautiful Rancho Penasquitos. This home has a very large lot at almost a quarter of an acre. The lot is full of rare fruit trees. The home has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The home is 1649 square feet and the lot is .23 acres.
There are many upgrades; newer AC and furnace, new floors, new windows, new high end security screens, new hall bathroom remodel. Many of the rooms have new paint. The kitchen counters are granite.
The kitchen is open to the breakfast nook and family room complete with a fireplace. The home sits high up on the hill with huge views of Black Mountain. I believe you would have some ocean views if you put in a deck outside. As you know the home features a lovely variety of rare fruit trees.
No HOA or Mello Roos.
We will have a full termite clearance and have a full fire safety clearance. The roofers are fixing the facia boards around the perimeter of the house as well. The home has been well maintained.
We plan to list the home on 8/18. I was planning on holding an open house for the rare fruit tree community on 8/19. I am more than happy to assist with contacting folks and sharing this date.
Please let me know if you have any further questions! We will have professional photos by 8/17 which will include aerial shots.

Most are over here. Kinda crazy. I agree though, hopefully someone who appreciates it will get the property.
