I take immunosuppressants and have swallowed 1 or 2. Didn't affect me, take that as you will

I was just browsing trade winds and saw that they have the red gummi-gatta seeds for $7 a pop. Thought I should spread the word since I'm passing on it.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Hunt for the best Surinam Cherry
« on: May 12, 2022, 07:16:20 PM »
I just had my first surinam cherry. Does anyone prefer the red variety over the darker hue varieties? Seems like everyone likes the darks more

I saw some recently for sale on Lara farms website.

I have had horrible luck here with lychees so I'm staying away

I also hopped on that Amazon deal at the time and have a few bags of osmocote tucked away.

Iím not agriculture expert by any means but it is alarming. In the southwest we are starting to face water restrictions and I havenít looked lately on how  that might impact food supply on water intensive crops. One thing I did find out is while Brazil is a major food exporter they donít produce much fertilizer in the country. By the end of the year international food security is likely to become a large concern. Iíd reckon that the west will be okay but sub Saharan Africa, Middle East and south east Asia will be heavily effected. From what I recall food insecurity was one of the major factors of the Arab Spring. With everything else going on the world itís tough to try to look in a crystal ball and make predictions on near future outcomes. But I have probably been locked inside too much due to COVID that I donít want to be a doomer.

I'm going to update my import permit. Can you describe whether the lucuma is dry or moist?

What a crazy looking fruit

Someone was kind enough to send one my way. I wish I was more patient to wait for seed but Iím not

I have this fuzzy abiu seedling I am trying to get rid of. Purchased the seeds from fruitlovers on a whim but I donít want to baby it this summer just for it to die in the winter

Happy to answer any questions and I can try to work with the buyer if the location is in a tricky place

Bidding ends tomorrow to ship on Tuesday.

I have a 3 gallon pink wampee tree that I am thinking off getting rid of, not the best for container culture. Is the fruit worth it? To my understanding the pink wampee may be a different species

I killed my only E. Mattasoii a few weeks ago and traded away the few extras I had. Would anyone be interested in a trade for a seedling?  I have a lot of plinia seedlings going from trusted online sellers so let me know if you are interested. Have a good weekend

Was Crown 1 billed as a coronata?

20
Do you think the Inga sp you are offering has some cold tolerance?

21
Very cool, thank you. Best of luck with the sale

I don't own any jackfruit because I though they would grow too high but if this one is more dwarf I would give it a try. I don't have any jackfruit trees, do you plan on selling any seeds down the road?

I ordered a custom grafted loquat tree in 2020 and still didnít get it. I texted them, emailed every email I could find but never got a response since 2021.

I felt the same way lycheelust and emailed them to no avail. Then I dared to log on to facebook and check out their facebook page. Seems like that they have had a lot of unforeseen consequences and their nursery's land was sold right underneath there feet with no notice. So they have had to move locations and some other complications as well. If you would like, I can message you the email I received because I'm also in the same position of ordering a grafted tree last year. Check out their facebook page and see if they have posted any updates.
