Well they never actually made to the California address either so it was all international shipping they were confiscated. I had hoped they'd allow the seeds to a Cali address but was wrong. I'm sure domestic shipping wouldnt matter at all. It's just getting them into USA first seems to be tricky for me

If anybody orders a larger amount of ilama seeds I'd be ecstatic to buy some. I've tried twice now to get these seeds to Hawaii and both times they were all confiscated.. second round I even shipped them to a forum member willing to help and received sugar apple and luca Garcinia seeds but again all ilamas we're confiscated.. Not sure why customs doesn't want me to have these. Mahalo

Curious how old your kwai muk was when it first produced? Thank you. Excited to grow these!

Haha beat me to it, what he said. My tree is loaded with flowers and little fruitlets  currently so will be a bit until fruits are ready. Certainly don't mind sharing some seeds tho as it is a very productive tree.

Aloha, thank you! 🤙 I'll be planting it tomorrow then

There are struggles for us in the tropics too. I live in puna on the Big Island which comes with year round rain and high humidity pretty much all the time. No dry season. I dove hard into annonas last year after learning of all the awesome species available and finding this forum. Already had a fruiting soursop at the time but was hungry for more (pun intended). Soursops and rollinias grow effortlessly here and fruit on their own so everybody grows them. I wanted some sugar apple action up in my life. I killed so many plants both seed and scion material the past year but the few that succeeded are cherished and usually vigorous having survived puna wetness. My fruit tree/plant index is currently 129 different species of sub tropic and tropic fruits. This addiction is great 😁 and supportable by wives 🤙 the biggest downside of my climate is most mangifera indica varieties do poorly here which was a big bummer at first but then learned of the few that I could a have some types like nam doc mai, kasturi, lalee jewo, and kuini , so not too bad. Also I get to struggle with being a reverse zone pusher growing figs, blueberries, cherimoya, and kiwi in zone 12 lol no grapes for me

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Theobroma Bicolor pollination

Aloha, I couldn't find much information on theobroma bicolor and whether or not it is self pollinating. I currently have one seedling ready to plant and wanted to ask if it will cross pollinate with other theobroma species nearby or if I should grab another seedling and plant in a pair? There are 3 cacao trees in the vicinity I want to plant. Mahalo

Seeds received packaged well. Thank you

Would anybody be willing to sell me some seeds after they are stateside? Last attempt to get seeds from him to Hawaii they all got confiscated. Would be much more simple to import them to basically any other state first. Thanks

@StelaG I would be in for at least 10 seeds myself if a group buy is happening. I'm in Hawaii and it's easier to get stuff from south america into Florida than direct to the islands.

Hawaii has strict no soil rules for shipping so Coco coir works best. That would be awesome bruddah 🤙

24
Aloha, I'm interested in the annona salzmanii seedling but need to know if you'd be able to ship bare root in Coco coir or something similarly non-soil? Mahalo
