I had a couple of used pots with aluminum duck tape attached.
The tapes were still sticky and removable after 2 years in my possession.
They had what looked like black sharpie markings on the duck tapes.
Markings looked fresh after 2 years in the sun.

I havenít test this method yet.

The expensive one here now is Thai Ruby seedless.
A friend paid $350 for a foot tall tree.
Taiwan version has seeds so half price.

I prune in February, coldest month here.

Grow a few.
Cull later.

Best cherimoya fruit development requires temperature above 62F for 10 hours post pollination.
Do you get 10 hours above 62F in March after pollination?

In my yard, hand pollinated cherimoya fruits are much bigger than self pollinated fruits.

If you could add a pot after roots formed, and water often, your AL should be robust after cut.

I added a pot to this lychee after 10 weeks of AL.
This AL flushed after 10 days in pot.

Itís flushing again after 6 weeks in pot.
Iím seeing fat root tips at bottom of pot.
Iím planning to cut after 2nd flush harden.
Iím expecting AL to handle full sun after a week in shade.

My 1st lychee AL is still weak after a year, from cut and hide method.

Look good!

My trees flowered well but bare now.
Only 1 longan fruit.
0 lychee fruit.

I cut off flower bulb once male flowers open.
No point in letting the tree wastes energy on the male flowers.

Is it small enough to try using some type of insect barrier netting next year to test for the effect of cross pollination?

Good idea

Next step is to collect maggots to throw inside tent to help with pollination.

Brad,

Are there any other lychee trees around your seedless tree?

Your fruit has plumb skin like a sugar apple.
Itís an atemoya.

AP is also an atemoya.
Its skin is flat like picture below.

Your fruit is not an AP.

Iím using 15G pots.
Iím filling them 2/3.
No need to fill to top.

15G pot is tall so less bending to move them around.

Boxturtle,

I bought a tissue culture plug of Black Madeira from Brian M.

Galatians,

How long for lychee AL there?
What is your after care for them?

Impressive

Most new homes here use pex for hot water lines.
Heater at 140F.
Pressure at 50 psi.

If you can regulate temperature and pressure pex would be fine.

24
I have a saucer under the pot of a guava tree.
I flood it once a day.
On hot day like today I flood it twice.
It grows well.

25
Run a couple of loops of pex pipes.
Water flow of 1st loop should be opposite of 2nd loop to get even heating.
If not enough add another loop.
Or coil the pex to gain surface area to dissipate more heat.

My cold water dispenser has 20 loops of plastic pipe inside the refrigerator to cool incoming water.
No need for a radiator.

Use opaque pex so low algae growth inside pipe.
Or a few meters of copper pipe should transfer enough heat.
