Indeed it is, thank you so much.

Do both.

I understand they are so overwhelmed that they may not get to your tree for some time.
Report so someone can come out and confirm (though I assume you can confirm for yourself) and put a dot on the map for where erinose mite exists.

Then implement  you planned treatment strategy.

I don't know the answer to your question about MICROTHIOL DISPERSS, a thought when I last looked at this was that it was super fine at 3 micron average particle size, which to me might mean better spread.
If you don't have any Sulphur buy the recommended.  If you do, use what you have will be my my approach.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Can you please help identify this plant
« on: May 22, 2022, 10:14:58 AM »
Can anyone tell from these pictures what this plant might be?
The leaf damage is from hail that we got a week or so ago.

There is a well know grove on Indiantown road in Jupiter (West of I95), I believe it is O'Berry.

Just checked their Facebook, poor fruit set this year.  https://www.facebook.com/groups/148307051851301/

Interesting idea Carlos.
I get good takes without bagging but I think I will have to try and go for even better performance.

I have had several annonas push only to dry up and fail.  I have attributed in part to me breaking the union while unwrapping early so as not the girdle the graft and re-wrapping, but it would be nice if it were simply getting the humidity right.

Far fewer mangos than last year.  No lychees.  Avocados are looking good.
Got some lychee, not a whole lot but some.
Unfortunately, the birds have found them, squirrels too.

I hope people understand that giving advice to such questions could make them liable and opened up to lawsuits.
Are opinions OK? or personal experience??   :)

Poor season here too, the only standout in my yard is the Choc anon.

The last two days have been terrible for my already poor mango season.

Yesterday we had hail stones and moderate winds, dropped a few fruits.  Not too bad.
Today heavy rain with vicious winds, somewhat localized, broke a branch of my Choc Anon loaded with fruits.  So a poor year even poorer.

I will take the rain though it has been dry the last several months.

I see Raul logged in today around 6pm, did he message anyone back?  I still haven't heard back, just wondering.
Use email, he replies to all my emails.

Good, if you have some time, you may want to trench around the tree (where you hope to take the root ball) and leave it for some time before move day.

I recall reading somewhere that this helps.  Look it up or someone who knows why please fill in the gaps.

I am sure there is something you can apply that will get rid of the pest.
Ranging from diatomaceous earth to some nasty stuff.
Google "treating pest in potted plant" or something like that and I am sure you will find all kinds of remedies.  Hydrogen peroxide, insecticidal soap and diatomaceous earth will come up in a number of the solutions.
There may be some other household items that can work as well.

How large is the tree?

How old and how long in the ground?

Do you have to remove immediately or do you have time to prep before you move.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: May Mango Bloom in Florida???

Choc anon, Beverly, and one of mine, so far unnamed.
There may be one or two others (possibly Fairchild,) but I will have to walk the yard to check.

I have 3 trees that threw out sporadic blooms in May, one or two just starting in the last day or so.
It is not a large bloom with only a few tips on the trees blooming.  It was jut a surprise to see blooms starting this late.
It is a poor year for fruit set, I assume the trees are just confused.

Thank you all, hope your grafts take.

Here is some fun reading if you plan on grafting.  https://tropicalfruitforum.com/index.php?topic=16673.msg211489#msg211489

Now regarding your question, you can grow annona from seed.  It may not be true from seed,  You can graft named varieties onto your seedling (best in spring) and know what you are getting for sure.

I have grown both in a pot and in the ground.  Both work.  I don't know about nematode vulnerability but perhaps Har or someone else on the forum who grows in FL may be able to help with that part of your question.
