Maby... i will hask my friend. I think one important thing is the microorganisms present on soil...My soil is limestone... my friend said they have limestone on his yangmei area. This is interesting I’ve seen mostly studies and maps showing the soil is acidic in the regions. Can they be acidic and still growing in limestone? Obviously your trees look happy. Harvey and Marta have theirs planted in native soil here which is typically around 6.5-7. I planted all mine in a high acid mix but added Azomite.
I buyed 1y and 2y old trees last year. Yes i buyed them from a friend in China. They adapt very well. That's awesome! How old are these? were they import trees as well?Very healthy looking trees Luis. Thanks! Yes they are healthy... still have a few leaves burned by frost but are great... start to sprout and grow well.

Hey Luis,My grafted trees are doing great but they just have one year on ground so im not expecting fruits from them... just in few years i think. This ones that i think it could be flowers are my first seedlings that are biger now. So they are not flowers?
How are your other varieties doing. Your hermaphrodite should be holding fruit by now, right. I thought your season was a bit earlier than ours.

Hello Luis, everything is good here. Has not rained in 6 months but thats normal. We are used to it here, nothing new. Regarding the plants, I shaded my tree for the first summer then put it in full sun. Its growing fine in full exposure and its quite hot here. I think the weather in my area is maybe hotter than yours.
Just make sure to acclimate your plants to full sun if not used to it yet. Thanks! I know there are some big trees with crops on my country. This seeds came from fresh fruit of very dark, big and sweet fruits... lets see how this will go...
Not sure about how long to fruiting, as we are growing outside of native habitat. With the grafted plants, I would hope within 5 years, but who knows?

Looks to be itOk thank you very much! I already confirmed and they are the real thing because a friend grow them from fruits that she ated. They are very dark and big.
Some plants have more serrated leaves...
The rootstock suckers on mine are serrated
I think age has to do with it.
