Could anybody tell me are neonitidas in season at the moment as i would like to add this one to my collection and would only be able to purchase it as seed. Any tips on them?

Well my latest tree i bought was some cherry of rio Grande seedlings and a pitomba, bought them to add to my ever growing collection. Cherry of rio Grande i had done a bit of studying but pitomba was a spur of the moment buy. Recently though i have acquired some uniflora, cedarbay cherry, araca boi and a yellow strawberry guava. Always exciting getting new plants and with only a small collection so far there are plenty more new plants to come.

Anyone attempted using jiffy pots for eugenias at all, just picked some up to try with some pyriformis seeds. Not sure if there available overseas but a few aussies on here might know what im talking about? Interestad to hear what people think.

Very interesting method soren will have to try it next lot. Luc, how long do pyriformis and involucrata take to germinate? I ended up potting in sieved potting mix so its nice and fine and potting in some orchid pots so there is lots of air and drainage and placed in my mini hothouse to start them off. Does this seem okay?

Yes mike, thought it might be you! Definately an ey opener compared to the daleys forum that is for sure. Have my first batch of seeds on their way so eagerly awaiting their arrival. Never knew there were so many types of tropical fruits.

Hi all, my name is Don from Brisbane and have caught the tropical fruit bug like the rest of you. Haha! Started of gathering a few different species including
brazil guava
jaboticaba( standard one available in australia) not sure of type
brown turkey fig
birds eye sandpaper fig
strawberry guava
Midyim berry
Bowen mango
imperial mandarin
then got myself some grumichama black and yellow and fell in love with the eugenia species of which I have a couple of species now including
pitomba
cherry of rio grand
dwarf grumichama
forrest plum and a myrcyanthes. Always on the lookout for different eugenia species especially any red fruited types like cereja calycina and mattosi.
Enjoy being part of such a worldwide group gardening enthusiasts.

Hi, new to this forum and to growing eugenias was wondering wether anybody could point me in the direction of someone who could sell me some e. Cereja e. Calycina or e. Involucrata seeds and post to australia. Trying to get my eugenia collection growing as I already have black and yellow grumichamas and pitomba and one rio grande cherry, but cannot get any other species in australia. Any help or information would be much appreciated as I really like these eugenias but cramped by the limited access to different types in australia.
