I just looked on Queen Creek website and it looks like they have available at the moment Wolf in 3 gallon. Unless that’s not accurate?

I only tried it as how it’s most commonly used where the fruit is used to make a soup that tastes almost like Tom yum soup(closest resemblance I can think of). That dish is called “tenga” in Bengali, which translates into “sour”.

Here is from the article on it:

“In Assam Garcinia pedunculata is commonly known as Borthekera. It belongs to the family Clusiaceae and is an important fruit of North East India. The ripe fruit is eaten cooked or raw. Usually, the ripe or raw fruits are sliced, sun-dried and preserved. The raw fruits are preferred for pickles and sundried fruits are used as spices in foods. Traditionally, the plant has been used for many ailments such as chronic catarrh, asthma, cough, bronchitis, fever, dysentery and as a cardiotonic (Kagyung et al., 2010). The fruits of the plant are used to treat different types of stomach related disease by the people of Assam (Sharma et al., 2015). In Assam, there are several traditional uses of Garcinia pedunculata fruit products. One of the most popular traditional preparation is ‘tenga diya masor jol’ prepared from sun dried sliced fruits of Garcinia pedunculata”

FYI, I wouldn’t consider this a fruit good to eat out of hand. This is mostly used in cooking to make sour soup and popular in Bangladesh where I grew up.

May be the same as ‘Champagne’, which is easier to find. per growables.org:

Champagne'
'Champagne' (Japanese), often misidentified as 'Early Red'. Selected and introduced into cultivation in California by C. P. Taft around 1908. Elongated pear-shaped, often oblique; small to large (depending on where it is grown); skin pale-golden to deep-yellow, thick, tough, astringent; flesh white or yellow, soft, juicy, mild and subacid to sweet; of excellent flavor. There are 3 to 5 seeds. Midseason to late. Prolific; fruits borne in large clusters. Perishable; good for preserving. Tree has long, narrow, pointed leaves; is self -infertile. 2

GreendreamsFL has both large +small sizes and they ship . I’ve ordered from them before and very happy with quality of their plants.

FV that’s a pretty bold statement to make in accusing another long time member of “taking advantage of others”. I’ve dealt with Elouicious and found him to be very reasonable and nice dude. You got some seedlings that got roughed up during shipment, so he was taking advantage of you? Don’t follow the logic here.

I’ll take the rooted scarlet if still available. Thanks!

How long does Bael take to fruit from seed? Have you been able to produce fruit? Curious as I haven’t heard a lot about this in the US, but is a super delicious fruit. Thanks.

Just curious, what was the name of the Etsy shop so we can avoid? Hopefully wasn’t “Guavaking” as it looks like he’s moved on from Ebay to Etsy

VOLANT, I don’t think GA soaking would speed maturing of the embryo, which is the issue with Ilama seeds when freshly harvested. GA is used on Ilama to deal with the really thick shell which prevents germination. I believe I saw Har, expert on Annona, explain on FB annona group how critical the waiting period is and GA wouldn’t help bypass this.

Yea second what TREES is saying, if planted right away will most likely rot. I read somewhere embryo isn’t fully mature and needs 6-8 months after harvest.

Hi Kaz, please put me down for a Sangue e latte! Thanks!

Same issue on the Olosapo, has done absolutely nothing since I purchased two small seedlings from Abimael in the Fall. It may require high humidity, not sure.

Kremp just sent restock email and looks like I-258 still available.

https://www.kremp.com/i-258-fig/

I've purchased cuttings from them, cost ranges from $8-$20 each plus shipping. The cuttings look fresh, not sure if they are correct but looks good. The seller also sells on ebay.

Gardencrochet is pretty reputable in the fig cuttings/plants world, so likely a good source for true to type loquat cuttings.

I was thinking the same thing. Please consolidare, otherwise kinda sucks to scroll through it all
