How is the flavor of the fruits?

I have only had fruit from 3 trees. I bought 2 trees from Home depot that came from
Pine Island Nursery. The trees were spindly and the fruit was awful. Tasted woody and were
very seedy. I tossed the trees in the trash. The tree I have is around 10 years old and is a
winner. Fruit has a good balance of sweet and sour.

My friend has a sweet type loaded with pods now. She shakes them and
if they are ripe they rattle around inside as the pulp recedes. I can't figure out
if I like them but I can't stop eating them.

The four seedlings that I got from members on here are still small but are growing.  Not
growing rampantly but growing slowly and steadily.  I'd eventually like to make a hedge
with them.

I'm guessing they won't be large enough to fruit 'til they're maybe taller than 12 inches,
which should be maybe by the end of this growing season.

Does this sound about right?  Lemme noe . . . .

The largest tree is in a 7 gallon pot the other three trees are still in 3 gallon pots.
It looks like the 7 gallon and two of the 3 gallon are fruiting this year so far. I have them on a
porch with some direct sunlight but mostly indirect light

They are just like sugar apples rock hard one day and soft the next.
Woodpeckers are eating my custard apples and cherilatas.
What I found is the woodpeckers peck a little hole and leave
them for the next day. If I take them after the initial peck they
soften up in a couple days? The red custard I have turns a pinkish
color also right before it softens

What are the Maui mulberries like? Never heard of them.
I originally got the mulberry from ebay from Hawaii and they called it Maui.
It is a smaller mulberry very sweet and this year it was the earliest to put out
fruit in my collection by a month. It is a very clean tree in humid Florida and a
heavy producer. A customer came by and tried the fruit and bought cuttings.
It also roots fairly easy
