I have to drive from Venus to Apopka and back on Sunday, August 19. Are there any more mangoes to eat up there? Any interesting place to stop on the way back? Interesting in the fruit sort of way.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Nurseries or Gardens near Hollywood, FL

I have to be at a meeting in Hollywood, Florida, on June 22. I could possibly drive home north along the coast as far as Palm Beach on Saturday. For those of you who know the east coast of Florida (and I don't, I always get lost in SE Florida) which nursery or gardens would be on the way home for me?

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Ground Coffee, not coffee grounds

I know used coffee grounds are a good soil amendment. But what about ground coffee before it is perked? I have several pounds of rather old coffee that is never going to be brewed. Can I add it straight to the soil, or scatter on top around the plants, or should I brew the coffee first? Can I used dilute coffee to water plants? Anyone ever done this?

Persimmons: Fuyugaki, Saiyo, Triumph
Sunrayer Nectarine
Floraprince and Florago Peaches
Anna and Tropic Sweet Apples
Oranges: Ambersweet, Parson Brown, Hamlin and Dancy
