Magashimi mango
« on: June 21, 2017, 07:44:55 AM »
Anyone heard of or tasted this?
TopTropicals description of it seems very uneventful.

"New" cv. but no mention of from where (sounds Japanese).

I was just looking again at the pic for this mango and realized it looked Pickering-ish in shape and blush. Lo and behold, 1 picture down is the Pickering descriptor featuring a pic with two Pickerings in it. The same pic for Magashimi. Except it had be "blushed" a bit more, darkened, and excluded the 2nd mango in it. Real Dorgon style.

There is a mango from Israel, I believe named Magshimim.  This photo was from Fruit and Spice Park's Tropical Fruit event this year.
