Congratulations, let us know what you think of the fruit when you harvest it.

Super excited, tree is 5 years old in a 12 gallon pot, seed was from trade winds.

I have it under a lemon tree so it gets dappled light all day, loves it.

Left it out the past 2 winters and lowest temp was 37 unprotected, did fine, slight leaf burn but nothing major.

This is the second year it’s flowered, lovin’ the rain.

This year I dumped a pound of Indonesian bat guano and 2 cups of molasses right before it set flowers, I’ve noticed with other plants that it’s a good combination for fruit set.

Same with me! If it is g. acuminata, then I am in a similar situation as you. I have a 3.5ft tall specimen in a pot that I grew from a batch of seeds 4 years ago. Gave me it's first fruit last month and already has a second fruit. I imagine this is a bit precocious as the rest of my seedlings are the same age, a foot or more taller and show no signs of flowering.

Last image shows both the fruit and the flower. Trunk is thickness of my pinky.

(Sorry to hijack your thread) - congrats!

Awesome fruit, good job 😁

This one is garcinia madruno, I have acuminata and you can see the slight differences in leaf and growth habits, supposedly the fruits slightly different too. My acuminata could be fruiting anytime so I’ll see a side to side comparison and let you all know

Congrats guys. :)

Were they self-fruitful? I have read mixed opinions on whether they are monoecious or dioecious.

Great job, can't wait for the taste report!

I have about 10 in pots but only this one flowered and fruited, twice. I'm going with self-fertile.
