Fruit season, Apr.-Aug.; color, green; weight. 7 1/2 ozs.; quality, questionable; oil, 12.2% Seed, 2 ozs. (CAS Yearbook 1950) Two trees at South Coast Research Station Irvine, CA.,field 44, row 11, trees 7 & 8. Trees are hardy, upright but not as much so as Bacon or Zutano. Fruit usually ready in Jan. but this varies from year to year, 7-11 ozs, smooth, thin skin, olive green to maroon, shmoo shaped, long thin neck, light colored flesh, poor taste. From an avocado database. I grew Jim into a 20 ft tall tree. Pretty fruit, poor taste here. Maybe better grown elsewhere. Took a chainsaw to it.
