How to top work cherimoya trees

Whats the best type of graft to use on these on the harder wood 12-18" above ground? Im waiting until April to top work them but feel like thry already got bigger than wanted over summer. Now Im worried top working will be difficult. The time window to graft is pretty narrow at my location, needs to be successful or will have to wait another year.
The one in the pic isn't too big, but a few of them are already an inch thick.

Cleft graft em , they’re not too thick at all. They’ll push hard with big scion and established roots. Use a longer scion than you might normally so more nodes can push and start establishing tree shape quickly.
