Did you use any rooting hormone or juststuck it on dirt? Ive never rooted jabos from cuttings, but would be interesting to try out for fun.

Congrats!  What type of Jabo was this?  I am also curious what was your success rate with rooting cuttings.  This article suggests is not the most efficient method at cloning.

My red jabo regularly sends up root sprouts which I have been digging up and repotting.
Tried rooting some cuttings like you last summer. They are still looking ok... I need to check them for roots.

Root suckers on most Myrtaceae have a good strike rate I though including jabs. A few have come off my ones. If it isn't a main root cut either side and leave in place once it settles dig it up then. One transplanted scarlet survived well even though many roots were left behind. Lots of suckers sprung up from these roots and many survived well.

Thanks, will do. it's still alive in 50:50 perlite peat moss mix, will update with new pictures in couple of months or so. I have extended my rooting experiment to more varieties will see what happens.
