If you are into figs then you should join the other forum, Ourfigs.com

You can see the list and photos from the members. Some of the reliable best figs are:
1. Black Madeira
2. Figo Preto
3. I-258
4. Pastiliere
5. RDB
6. VDB
7. Smith
8. White Madeira #1
9. Thermolito
10.Exquisito
11. Meteorito
12. Figoin
13. Cessac

There is no one Best Tasting (Tastiest) fig, it depends on your personal taste. I have not tasted any of the varieties I listed, just info from fig lovers who say its excellent tasting. I only tasted the common Brown Turkey fig and a few others that I eat ripe fruits and it's ok. I started collecting some figs this year so I hope to taste some of these on the list next year. The price of the cuttings go up from 1-13 on this list.

There is already a post here that has good information you are asking about, see the post below "Best Tasting Fig in Southern Calif"

Good advice and list from sc4001992.  Also check out What The Fig on Facebook.  Getting near the season's end and people will be taking cuttings...either to sell or to root out the cuttings and sell those.  It becomes a real free for all!  I currently have Black Madeira KK, I-258, Smith, and Col de Dam Blanc.  I will have rooted plants available around Dec/Jan.
