Seedling ID
« on: November 24, 2021, 12:43:47 PM »
I ate the fruit down at Fruit & Spice Park but lost the label I made.  The seedlings have germinated and I wonder if anyone can help provide its name.

Thank you K-Rimes, but we now believe it is a Garcinia mangostana. The Grumichama seedlings have much thinner leaves, when young.

I don't think that is a seedling g.mangostana
1. is that the fruit and spice park doesn't have a fruiting tree (yes they have one, and mangosteen has been fruited in FL, but the odds are unlikely)
2. Looks more like g.brasiliensis (I've germinated a lot)
Your best bet is to think of every garcinia you ate at the park.
