Aus. Blood Lime (aka Red Centre lime) Budwood
« on: November 30, 2021, 07:25:13 PM »
Trade preferred for some interesting varieties! Doesn't have to be citrus, but if not, ones that will root well.

Sale for $15 for 4 sticks, $3 shipping

Note this is pretty thin budwood, as its very dwarf and bushy type, but an interesting variety not commonly sold in the states. Red Centre lime is not Australian red finger lime. They're round and smaller fruits getting a dark Burgundy color. I typically root these as cuttings and they do very well. I have three of those rooted now. The parent tree has fruited multiple times in the past and is currently blossoming.

same variety as this: https://www.citrusmen.com.au/shop/citrus-gems-byron-sunrise-44ewy-fj59t-szmlz-lwfy3-s2mnn-mpbxn

Rooted cuttings are sold, cuttings themselves are sparse! It’ll be another month or so before I can take more cuttings. I will have Australian red lime rooted cuttings available in the next month as well.

Scions came in fresh, I did 8 grafts 3 on citrumelo, 3 on pomelo, and 2 on key lime all are 1 - 2 yr old seedlings, I have poncirus but they are still too small to work with comfortably.

We had freezing temps so had to bring them inside under some LED lights until the weather picks back up.

Mostly bark grafts, some t-bud like grafts, and a tiny chip bud graft somewhere. Hoping to get at least 1 take.

trying to root the rest

Thanks franklazar26 :)

Those rooted cuttings went pretty fast. I will have to keep an eye on this section of the forum a little more closely. Of course, I need another plant like I need a hole in the head. :)

will definitely have to take you up on that offer, no takes and cuttings grew fuzzy mold before rooting 😭 will have to try again with the summer heat. i was doing this mostly outdoors so i think dips into the 50s at night didn't help the process

also pomegranate is 75%-80% mostly leafed out now so will be pruning it soon for cuttings will PM you when I can send some out to you :)

Looks pretty good! If you don’t get any takers, pm me later this summer!

Lots of cuttings now available. Same prices as above. Message me for details! Rooted cuttings are all sold out, but will have a good amount available for spring.
