Planted mamey tree at ~15 degree angle - okay?
« on: January 08, 2022, 08:13:18 PM »
Sorry for the noob question. I planted my mamey tree and when I stepped back to admire, I noticed I didn't get it perfectly straight; it's leaning by about 15 degrees or so. Would it be best to stake it up or just leave it be?
Thanks in advance.

I would dig up and remove the soil on the opposite side, then pull the root ball back to get the tree straight. I don't want to look at the leaning tree everyday as it continues to grow.

Okay, I'll do this later in the week. Thanks. Why not just stake it, though?
