Over 2 hours of Q&A??  Damn, that’s a marathon session!  Not sure I have the attention span for that long of a video in one sitting.  Respect to Alex for sharing his knowledge in a public forum. Rare that commercial farmers share their limited time for others to benefit. Hopefully he benefits from the promotion of his business, even if that wasn’t the primary goal.

I guess I'm old school.  I found it pretty absorbing.  Alex has a real passion.

We weren’t expecting it to go that long but people kept asking questions. We didn’t get to them all but I’m sure we’ll do another one some point in the future

Thanks to Paul and Alex for doing this. Paul is killing it with his channel, and his volume is content is fantastic. Alex, you’re a wealth of knowledge and very generous with your time. I also appreciate you claiming a favorite mango. It’s pretty lame when ppl in the mango business won’t just tell ppl what they like the best.

On the other hand, it's perfectly understandable when they don't.  So many outstanding varieties, so many flavor profiles, so much variability even in one variety from the same tree and from one year to the next. ;D

What "favorite mango" did Alex identify? Only saw parts of the broadcast.

Tommy Atkins. Really likes its shelf life and it lends itself well to shipping. And you can't beat that taste. I couldn't believe it either . . .

Finally got around to watching Alex's  Q/A video. I enjoyed it immensely Alex was handsome and charming as usual. Paul was well-groomed Lol my takeaways from the interview is. I will be recommending sunrise mango tree to my friend who's establishing a new grove.
Now I have better insight to why the Californians prefer vigorous mango trees. I knew CeCilove was an alternative two sweet tart because of  it"s flowering issues but now I've learned that it is also a smaller alternative to Cac. Risk versus reward mulching may not be a bad idea but it's not a great one either. Questions I would have asked if I would have had the time but I was quite busy with a freeze and frost event. If Jimbo Kesar is truly in the Dominican Republic? Can we please start a GoFundMe page and send Gary or Dr. Campbell maybe Noris  Ledesma from Fairchild Garden down and get the budwood for us. We are Americans we want it we want it now. We sent a man to the Moon can we send one to the Dominican Republic. While we're at it let's have a connecting flight to pick up Mango#11 Starch and Mango Palwi.

That is a tough one isn’t it. The better members of the classic group are largely anthracnose prone when brought inland. BM, Edward, Maya, Chino, Spirit of 76 All being examples of this.

Some that might be worth trialing are Ambika, Carla (really Classic subacid), Excalibur , Gouveia,
Marlys, USDA Himsagar , Zill O-29 and Zill M-17
