Thank's! No, it's the first time my banana trees get flower. I think the flavor of Da Jiao is similar to Namwah.  ;D

This year we just got light frosts, just -2C. We didn't reach -3C i think. But last year we got -4C or a bit less...
I never protect her. This is a really cold hardy variety!

By the pics it looks like the plant does not have much healthy leaves to make energy for the fruit. Have awlays wondered do bananas on such plants grow and ripen normally, i would guess they would abort or smt, unless the mother plant uses the energy from the mat and not her own??

Hi! No, she doesn't have any healthy leaves due to cold weather. But she doesn't have any problem with it. The energy came from the roots... the bunch is growing fast and very healthy and i'm seeing already 4 hands... i'm not saying that healthy leaves are not important, but she is growing very well.
