I don't think drowning them is that nice.  I shoot them point blank with a 22.

That seems pretty humane, Brad, and that is why I like the Goodnature A18 trap: It
whacks 'em in the head, killling the squirrels instantly.  (It'll also dispatch rats, too.)

2nd the recommendation for Squirrelinator. It's a bit on the expensive side but its worked really well for me with minimal effort

58$ on Amazon now.  Seems cheaper than when I got them.

Got a link for the $58? I can only find them at $73

Do you use the basin to drown them or?

I see now this may be a generic but looks like the same unit to me.

I read some reviews on the Wilco knock off. Apparently not as good. I'll grab a squirrelenator sooner than later I think. Yeah, 22 is better, too many neighbors around me though they'll get pissed.

I have never drowned them but that is what some of the amazon comments suggested.

.22 air rifle is very effective for squirrels. A single shot to the chest or head takes them out in a matter of seconds. You can keep the population down to near 0 if you're vigilant enough. After the initial population knockdown, you'll get one every couple of weeks coming to explore.

We went from 50%+ crop loss on some mango and avocado varieties to near zero loss due to squirrels. The last straw for me was when they chewed through my roof. Destructive little bastards.

I used to bury the dead carcasses, but the otters would dig them up. So I just started leaving them out. The next morning they are gone.

I'm tired of this squirrel thing; so I decided to start taking stuff from the squirrels to teach them a lesson and even the score. Bust in their nest, grab some nuts, knock some sticks and leaves over, then run/climb like hell.
