Sapodilla Nispero Tree: How bad is this bark damage?

I bought this Brown Sugar Sapodilla from Everglades and it came with this damage ~8 months ago. Its in a 15 gallon pot. It hasn't died or shown signs of stress but it largely also hasn't grown any until this past week when it finally put on a small new flush of growth on all branches and popped out ~6 flowers. Tree is between 2 and 3 feet tall. My main question is this much loss of bark going to be problematic over time in actually getting fruit from this tree or am I just thinking too much and worrying over nothing?

No problem.
Wrap foil to block sun so callus forms faster.

I agree that the tree can do alright with that damage.

Thanks guys, my first foray into these types of fruit. Done lots of citrus and peaches but trying to do some tropical fruits now. I always end up over worrying about a new plant I've never grown to fruit before
