Roy, you are welcome. I had germination in just 72 hours, the fastest I have had for any plant. Jet, I payed Roy 25 USD, for 140 hedvekuli seeds plus a number of others.

So the seeds you provided earlier are not Fissistigma?  Any idea of what they are?

So, what plant is the one we have instead of Hedvekuli?

Any idea of what we have Roy?  Those of us in tropical areas may have concerns that what we have may actually be some sort of noxious weed that we should be destroying instead of keeping to see what it is.  We already have enough undesirable "invader" species here in Hawaii.

John

So, what plant is the one we have instead of Hedvekuli?

It is  some Cassia, Senna or Chamaechrista most probably.
!00% it is from Caesapinoidae

Taparyal
You mean member of Caesalpiniodeae(Fabaceae or Leguminosae)?

In that case, some are invasive what I found on the internet

I am sorry again for this episode.

I will try my level best to get true Hedvekuli(Fissistigma verrocosum) for the forum members.

Yes dera Digpati. Sorry, i typed it wrong!
In a few days I will see the seeds myself and try to identify the species.
I had myself once various Senna and Chamaechrista absus growing.
From pictures of the seed and the seedlings I am 100% sure they are from Caesalpinioidae

What I thought, the time You had Fissistigma You had available also Cassia fistula seeds. Can it be that the collector simple mislabled the two seed packages?

I have different collectors in some states of India and
some of them are knowledgeable in the subjects and the rest of them are not.
My collector from Assam just wrote Hedvekuli on the bag and sent it
(The plastic bag was much bigger than the paper envelope
containing Cassia fistula from a different collector).
My this collector from Orissa wrote Cassia fistula clearly on the
smaller paper packet with date and place of collection.
There was no confusion in both the items.
The mistake was done by the collector from Assam.
Usually I will ask photos of fruit, seed and leaf but that time he did not send.
