Rusty looking Sapodilla from Thailand
« on: October 20, 2014, 04:33:43 AM »
Hi all, i got these from the local mkts, supposedly from Thailand. They are rusty looking and looks similiar to a Canistel fruit. But i find them to be nicer than those other common varieties more readily available. They are must less gritty and take only about 2 days to ripen from a rock hard stage. Any more information on this variety will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Cheers,
Jet

Krasuey is fairly dark inside and the brown inside is less reddish or olive than others.

So this is the one they sell all over Thailand? Strange that it isn't in Singapore yet.

No i 'm in Bangkok now but this fruit is sold here when in season.

It's strange that Singapore doesn't know this fruit while it is grown al lot in Thailand. On the other hand pulasan is all over Singapore and never seen it in Bangkok.
