Sapranthus campechianus/Asimina campechianus

(1/2) > >>

Raulglezruiz:
I got a hold of some seeds of this rare fruit from Yucatan peninsula, I wonder if being related to Paw Paw ( Asimina triloba) could be used for doing a hibrid tropical Paw paw, another interesting issue is that according to the records it fruits in a long season of 5/6 months

Jaboticaba45:
What a find! I wonder if they have the cold tolerance characteristics of pawpaw also?

Got my seeds today and happy to say many sprouted on the way-

Any more info on this species in the intervening months?

Looking forward to trying to grow this one out- A. triloba really struggles in Z9

Guanabanus:
