To all members who have grafted 'Lucuma' can you please post details of grafting experience. Looking to find out if scion wood need's to be prepared ahead of grafting and timing for grafting.

<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br />Jobo folks I was excited to unwrap Jaboticaba graft's I did earlier this year on older Paulista seedling tree grafted to # @ Otto Anderson "branca vinho"and #1-Red A. seedling. I left wrap of plastic 1/2" white poly tape since earlier this year.

I tried a air-layer (2) actually and one failed about a month ago and the last air-layer failed with no callus or form of any kind of roots. Next year will try again but start in early Spring. I started these air-layers 4/20/20.

Looks like Kilauea went off with new eruption an evacuating Pahoa where Oscar @ fruitlovers.com lives! I think it's away from were he's at but hope Oscar an family are fine.

Very happy my Longan graft took out of two graft's one took which makes me very happy ;D A member sent me 3-different varieties of longan. I didn't have room for all the scions so I grafted two on seedlings i had and shared other scion's with friend Jack S. who grafted other scions to his two trees which where outside. This was a veneer graft done in first week of March.

On another forum a person posted that he heard that Tim Thomson (mister low chill mango) has gone out of business!
Any body know if this is true or not? If true not surprised!!

Many moons ago we were on vacation in Molokai Ha. and i remember eating a small no bigger than 3" long mango, flavor was sweet with spicy over tone's any guess's out there from you'll Mango Heads?

To all who might be thinking of coming up to our exchange, if you bring scion wood you can get in early 1pm if not you have to wait until 1:30. Will have many varieties of Avocado from Jack swords and my collection plus cherimoya;Elixer,Big Sister,Spain,Fino de Jete, El Bumpo,Sabor,Inca Red,Chaffey. White sapote ;Golden Nugget,Cate,Fiesta,Rainbow, Robert's Rainbow seedling,Vernon,Santa Cruz,Pike.
If you go to Central Coast Chapter web site will have varieties listed later today! If any of you come please introduce yourself to me my wife Carol and I manage the scion exchange. ;)

I thought I would post pics of a cherry of the Rio Grande seedling that had awful fruit and I got scions from Adam, and top worked some of the branches last year!

I just wanted to show some pic's of my attempt  to save seedling tree by branch grafting over to 'Ben's Beaut' thanks to Adam, @flyingfoxfruits great scion wood! Now the wait! ;) 8)

Hi all, I've got a plant growing and the seed is from Hawaii, which I collected last year while on "Best of Both Worlds" conference put on by H.T.F.G. & CRFG. Could have been from Big Is. Any help on I.D. appreciated! ;) 8)





I just feed it some balanced fert. just hasn't kicked in yet!
