Is that the variety name? Or just a fig you got from that area? Figs are my #1 I grow 😆
Hi, this is exactly the name of the fig variety. As far as I know, it is one of the most popular in Crimea.

Look,

It’s unfortunate that these same people exist here in the United States, as a free country people have a choice to believe in this nonsense, BUT this doesn’t represent the majority views by any means. The nazi and fascists exist here too, though Putin wants you to believe that those pictures you posted are the majority it’s called propaganda which Russia has mastered. Also unfortunate for you it’s working.

Currently much of the free world is turning their backs on Russia for their unjustified aggression. I’d also suggest not doing business with this Russian poster going forward as a penalty for bringing this nonsense propaganda into this forum. Please tell me how a Jewish man, who lost relatives in the holocaust, is the leader of a nazi movement? https://www.washingtonpost.com/history/2022/02/25/zelensky-family-jewish-holocaust/
I will answer you in the same way, American propaganda has brainwashed you and you see only what you are allowed to see. We can read any resources in Russia, but can you? You will soon find out everything about the Jew, and the whole world will be very surprised by the truth that has been revealed.

We live in a free country, chose not to aid the aggressors.

There is a message on the forum in support of Ukraine and accusing Russia of aggression, I don't like that visitors see only one point of view. And by the way, almost 70% of the population of Ukraine supports the fascist regime.

Are you defending Ukraine? Face it, your media won't show you this, but it's true, and it's been happening for many years! Russia is not seizing Ukraine, Russia is liberating it from fascism!

Hi guys, I have a question. What is the shelf life of most tropical fruits for possible postage? For example, I want to get Jackfruit, the package to Russia is on the way for 14-16 days, will it rot during this time or will it be suitable for eating? Which tropical fruits have the longest shelf life?

1000$ ?
Does that surprise you? I purchased many different seeds 8)

I've been looking for him for so long, but unfortunately I'm in another country :-[ :-[ :-[

I purchased Vittelaria paradoxa from Oscar Jaitt / Fruit's Lover. Probably the worst seller I ever dealled with. He shipped the seeds in normal courier which took more than two months to arrive. Seeds arrived totally roten. When you are a pro you know these species need to be planted fastly and cannot travel for a while (like clove, cocoa, etc..) Asked for refund, no news.

It seems to me that this is not a completely fair statement. I recently bought seeds from Oscar, additionally paid for express delivery, the purchase amount was more than 1 thousand dollars, so I asked Oscar to indicate in the declaration the amount of 200 dollars to avoid customs duties in Russia. The parcel arrived to me 18 days after being shipped from the USA. All seeds are in good condition. I think you yourself made a mistake by not paying for express delivery.

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Re: Jackfruit grafting question

Hi guys. Thanks to everyone for participating in this discussion, I took a lot of useful information for myself and now I want to conduct an experiment. I have jackfruit and chempedak seedlings, they are the same in age and height, and I decided to swap their tops in places, maybe this is a stupid idea, but I am interested in the process of inoculation and survival. I will keep you updated on this experiment.
ps: I can't remember who asked me about the cost of jackfruit in Russia. The average price per kilogram of fruit is $ 15, for durian you will have to pay $ 20 per kilogram. Regards!

What about rooting cuttings? how complicated is this process? I saw a post on the forum that someone has taken root in the water. And how are things with durian? Is it as difficult or are there no such problems as with jackfruit? And is it possible to make dwarf plants from jackfruit and durian?

Tropical Fruit Discussion / Jackfruit grafting question

Hi guys, I read that jackfruit grafting is complicated by a large release of latex, so I had a question, how best to do it? Maybe someone knows a YouTube video where different methods of jackfruit grafting are clearly shown? Regards!

This offer is still relevant. I prefer the exchange, I am interested in Artocarpus, Durio, Annonaceae. ;)

Major issue is sending cuttings where shipping takes greater than a week the cuttings are basically unviable.

Good luck 👍

Joe
Guys from the forum have already sent me some cuttings, if they are well packed, then after two weeks on the road, they were well preserved. In any case, I'm willing to take the risk.

Probably a good idea would be to purchase seeds and start a lot as rootstocks, then network with local growers for cuttings. Major issue is sending cuttings where shipping takes greater than a week the cuttings are basically unviable.

Good luck 👍

Joe
Today I have enough plants from seed, so I started this thread ;)

Hi guys. I want to negotiate with someone next spring about buying cuttings. I am interested in different Annona, Artocarpus, Durio, Carambola, Sapota and much more. This should be sent to Russia, I take all the risks on myself and in case of confiscation of the parcel by customs, I will not make claims against you. Today in Russia these are very popular plant species, mostly people grow them in their greenhouses from seeds, because it is very difficult to find cuttings. I am ready to buy good volumes, if someone wants to do business, write to me in pm. Regards!  8)

There are a lot of such crazy people in Russia, so you are not the only one! ;) ;D

What do you use to treat spider mites? Thank you.
I use the "Aktellik" insecticide for my plants, other people use different drugs, such as "Fitoverm" or "30+". Everyone has their own preferences.

This year, Cuatomate (solanum glaucescens) bloomed profusely again and there are no fruits again. I'm going to put it in a pot and put it in the house for the winter. I have two plants growing, does anyone know if he needs cross-pollination or is one plant enough?

Growing Coffee beans? I see the mango too. Great job and amazing to see them in Russia. It seems there is little insect related desease and fungal, yes?
The greenhouse is constantly being treated from pests. We have a lot of whitefly, spider mite, shield, and if preventive treatments are not carried out, they destroy plants.

The most beautiful melons I have seen. Sweet and fragrance?
Melon has an amazing aroma that spreads throughout the greenhouse during fruit ripening, but the taste is not as sweet as I would like, so I use the fruits to make a pie.
