Aldi in SE Florida had $3.99 seeded watermelons

(1/1)

zands:
Seeded watermelons are getting harder to find in Broward County...Target gets them in. Publix rarely. Winn Dixie gets them. My local Walmarts used to but now only have seedless

These at Aldi (store locator) are nice firm watermelons. Aldi seems to have some good quality control on them. Weight is about 15-20 lbs. I have bought three so far this year and not one dud. Seeded watermelons are the real deal. Don't waste time on the seedless. Don't throw out the rind. Juice it with some apple and ginger or by itself

lkailburn:
agreed seeded is where its at. Usually much better flavor and texture. Sounds like a real bargin, 15lbs for 3.99!

Tomas:
I think it's best to grow your own food stuff if possible. I actually grow water melons this year but they are not ready yet.

Seeded grapes are also superior. Black grapes (with or without seeds) always seem to be the most ripe and sweet. What's with people who are too lazy to deal with grape and watermelon seeds?  Seeds mean you have a real fruit that can actually reproduce
