It seems that according to Purdue university, Spain replaces their orange trees with cherimoyas with success by their Sierra mountain range, and the grow zones show 8b-9a there, perhaps I can grow cherimoyas up there.

My advice, vanilla for climbers, most garcinias will do fine here, pitangatuba, and generally the entire Eugenia family, all jaboticabas, soursop, just to name a few

Better to use 50% or less peat moss with sand of pumice as the rest of the mix, plants don’t like quickly decomposing stuff with their roots

EDIT: By sandy loam i mean pure sand with a bit of clay in there

I have noticed that sometimes, the dominant seedling is so strong, that it prevents the others from growing. I observed this when repotting my sweet tart mango seedling that had only one sprout. It looks like the other segments tried to root out, then failed. It might be because the seed is diverting its energy to that one seedling.

Hello, i watered my plants the other day with a tiny bit of grease on my hands after washing off most of the grease until there were washed out parts that stuck to my hands. Would that tiny bit of grease come off, go into the water, and harm the plants? How long does it take for petroleum damage to show up on plants? Thanks, Matt
