It seems that according to Purdue university, Spain replaces their orange trees with cherimoyas with success by their Sierra mountain range, and the grow zones show 8b-9a there, perhaps I can grow cherimoyas up there.

Hello, I plan on moving out to a place where it’s zone 8, but I still want to bring my trees with me. How cold can cherimoya trees tolerate? I want to grow cherimoyas

Thanks

My advice, vanilla for climbers, most garcinias will do fine here, pitangatuba, and generally the entire Eugenia family, all jaboticabas, soursop, just to name a few

Oh it’s really easy turns out, mines survived all sorts of bs, just keep it in the shade or only allow morning sun and it will carry

Better to use 50% or less peat moss with sand of pumice as the rest of the mix, plants don’t like quickly decomposing stuff with their roots

13
I grow it in sandy loam and water it every day-3x a day depending on the weather

EDIT: By sandy loam i mean pure sand with a bit of clay in there

dada is selling some currently, its an active post,

I have noticed that sometimes, the dominant seedling is so strong, that it prevents the others from growing. I observed this when repotting my sweet tart mango seedling that had only one sprout. It looks like the other segments tried to root out, then failed. It might be because the seed is diverting its energy to that one seedling.

Although Is dormant oil and lotion petroleum the same as engine grease/ tool grease? Thanks, Matt

18
Thank you so much guys! Now my worries have gone to rest

19
Ok thanks, but would any grease particles be in the water? The hose had a leak in which the water would run over my hand, thanks, Matt

Hello, i watered my plants the other day with a tiny bit of grease on my hands after washing off most of the grease until there were washed out parts that stuck to my hands. Would that tiny bit of grease come off, go into the water, and harm the plants? How long does it take for petroleum damage to show up on plants? Thanks, Matt
