Is hard to find information of this specie, this tree is only found in a the specific area from Amazon forest bordering Venezuela, and is not cultivated, the nuts are collected directly in the forest . The person who send this nut, says that every year is more difficult to find these nuts , unfortunately these tree is being exterminated because the good wood
Also I thought it was a giant tree , but is a medium size tree around 12 meters tall
I will try to find more information

You are lucky Joy. Im gardener since 1985. I really lost about 300 USD shopping Ricbitar seeds. In 2014 i get some seeds prepared and sended by Ricardo. Seeds arrived rotten or not fully developed. I was waiting long for new seeds. Second time - as a complaint he send me dry and mouldy seeds. It was really easily to check those seeds before he send. I am sure for 100 % that the seeds withered and moldy weeks prior to shipment. I have available photographic documentation of the whole case. Ricardo do not grown offered plants/seeds. He take them from market or from other peoples. Once he have better material one he have worse, but no honest approch to complaint disqualifies him as a reseller.

Domnik, unless you have actual proof that Ricbitar is sending moldy seeds, please do not make such statements. He has had a good reputation as a seller. Tropical seeds are usually highly recalcitrant and will often go bad in a week or two in the mail. It is likely not his fault, but instead, the speed of shipping. I am sure if you paid him for a 2 day international package, your seeds would have arrived in perfect condition.

I have a problem with my only surviving seedling, the leaves do not unfold and stay folded like the purple one in your picture, (new growth is green not purple on my seedling). What is the case?

I agree. Have received very many seeds from him and all VERY professionally packed. If not the very best, then certainly one of the best sending seeds out of Brazil.

MURAHILIN , DRUSS AND FRUITLOVERS, THANKS FOR THE COMMENTS !

Just to clear, about the package of Domnik :

1- He bought seeds Theobroma grandiflorum (Cupuaçu), the faster recalcitrant seeds I know
2- I sent to him fresh fruit, not seeds, something very prohibited in Brazil, cupuaçu fruit is very fast to rot
3- I warned the buyer that fruit will not arrive in good condition, even with the warning the buyer wanted the fruits
4- When the buyer bought in 2014, he bought atraves de um intermediario
5- In 2015 the buyer take my direct contact, and he explain the problem, and I only request the shipping costs, nothing else , to resend the fruits , but again I warn the fruits will not arrive in good condition

I sent seeds Theobroma grandiflorum for several person, all know, this seeds are the highly recalcitrant, by the way, all seeds of the Theobroma family are highly recalcitrant

Being a seed seller is a difficult thing. They are willing to let go of his country's native plants can be enjoyed by others. When searching for seeds, many risks are acceptable. And can be fatal. Better start transactions in small amounts. if it fails, then the transaction can be terminated. I've had experience of dealings with Mr. Ricardo. I think he is a good man and honest. However unfortunate a seed sellers can come anytime. Including those experienced by Mr. Dominic. better solve the problems via PM. So that the reputation built by Mr. Ricardo is not destroyed. Greetings from Borneo

Correct. When viewed from two sides turned out all right. I can understand what you are doing. I hope this experience can be alert and attentive to other seller in this forum. Never underestimate the little things. because the buyer also has a right to payment.
Thanks and Regard
