Help identifying Eugenia Sp

Hello everyone
A friend of mine gave me a tree but didn't know the exact species.
He said it probably a Eugenia sp.

Please help me identify it.
Any tips on growing it will be welcome

Have you grown pitangatuba or grumichama?

I grow pitangatuba, it started fruiting at age 5, but the taste is'nt very good.
I didn't get a Grumichama tree yet, there some here in Israel but it's not very common.

Hi, your plant is most likely Eugenia luschnathiana or Pitomba. Nice sized tree and should fruit soon. Good luck

Thanks for the ID. I hope it's really is Pitomba.
It is 2 years and about 2 meters high hold and I just up-potted it to 50 litters and gave it lots of compost and azomite.
It has a nice red new flush.

Should I clip the main branch to induce branching? and if so, how high?

To me, it looks like a Syzygium ...

Pretty much 100% positive it is.  They are everywhere around me.

I also had an sizigium a year ago, looked exactly like the plant in the pics. The leaves of mine had quite an variation to their form, some were close to a surinam cherry leaf, others looked more elongated like the ones in your pics.
Cant tell what species of sizigium it may be, just can say it looks very close to the plant that i had, i thought mine was a surinam cherry , but the people here in the forum id it as a sizigium.
