Big Chicos and Atemoyas stolen in Southern Califonia
« on: October 16, 2015, 10:04:21 PM »
Last week a couple of nights in a row some guys jumped my friends fence to his yard in San Diego and stole about 15 chico and atemoya trees in 15 gallon containers. Hopefully the thief doesn't check this website. But if anyone starts seeing some larger Alano and Atemoyas for sale or any nurserymen are offered them could they please let me know. The Sapodillas are around 8-10 feet tall.

Thanks Mark in Chula Vista

Damn, that sucks big time Mark. I have often thought about that scenario but never heard any actual cases. I will keep my antenna up. Best regards, Chris

That's sad to hear Mark.  I heard a lot of stories about thiefs jumping over fences to pick atemoya, dragonfruit, longan, etc.. But never about taking the 15gal containers.  Aren't those pots too heavy to move over the fence? I'll let you know if I hear or see anything.
