Stephen, very nice-looking fruits. I looked up the flowers and my small white flowers do not look anything like the ones I see online.
Do you have any photo of your flowers and it is all white?

We have a P. edulis f. edulis vine growing beside the patio and it is very healthy.  Fruit is tart but flavorful so we use it to make smoothies and add to tea.

Also have 3 Passiflora alata vines incredible blooms no fruit so far. And one Giant Granadilla growing on the gazebo. It fruited once and raccoons beat me to the fruits. It also has a large bloom like the alata that is highly scented.

ok, got some photos of my 2year old p.maliformis from Bellamy trees. Not sure why the flowers are so small on this vine.

If you recognize what it is, please let me know. Seems like it will be hard to hand pollinate since the opening on the flower is super small.

I purchased the 3 plant offer in 2022, but they must have sent me the wrong plant. Here's the add I purchased from.

I don't think that is p. maliformis. Reminds me of something else...

Yeah, you're the second person who said that. They must have sent me the wrong item. It said the fruits were larger than the normal p.maliformis. Maybe it will hold a fruit so I can see what the fruit looks like.

I have one, sourced from Bellamy, and the flowers and foliage look like the images from Bing/Google.  But I haven't been able to get fruit to set on it.  I've tried crossing with several edulis, ligularis, and decaisneana, and no luck so far over 2 years.  Can individual vines be duds, or perhaps I need another maliformis or other compatible, or does it need very specific timing (I usually do vines at lunch)?  It's got only 1 more year before it gets yanked.

I bought 3 plants from them, and it looks like they are wrong plants, whatever it is. I did buy a true maliformis from Stephen so I'm good, thanks.

Ok, still not sure what I have, but I just noticed there are 2 fruits on it now. Anyone recognize what variety it might be?

ok, thanks for the info, I was worried it might be one of those red flesh poisonous fruits. I should just get rid of it.

mbmango, yes, I did confirm that my plant is the white bladder plant and is poisonous (medium).

I cut open the fruit and it matches the photo with the seeds and silky hair just like the photos on the link.

ok, here's the last photos of my vine and fruit.

Case Closed, not a Maliformis, but if you got one of these plants, get rid of it.
