Fig cuttings for sale, Buzzone, CDA, Super Jumbo
« on: January 14, 2023, 12:36:25 PM »
I have the following fig varieties cuttings for sale. Will take fresh cuttings, 6inch or larger. All three have been verified after having fruit.

$12 per cutting with minimum (4) mix match varieties + USPS shipping either flat rate small or medium box depending on amount of cuttings and size.

Buzzone, has been a bullet proof variety. Closed eye produces long season and holds up to humidity really well. Seems like a really good selection for Florida and humid locations.
CDA, Constantine de Algerie, Large yellow/green fruit with excellent flavor and small eye. Reported to do well in humid locations.
“Super Jumbo “ (DK) series, Very large fruit with good flavor, recommended for semi arid to arid locations with low pests pressures.

Buzzone is Italian, it is one of my favorite varieties. Flavor is really good and its production and pest resistance is very good. It also has the longest season of fruit production of all the figs I am growing. Dark fig and Mt Etna type. Should be a staple in anyone's fig collection. I rate flavor at 4 out of 5, production 4 out of 5, vigor resistance to humidity and pests 5 out of 5. Southern figs has a good thread on Buzzone Nero fig.

No problem, I have stopped collecting figs for now. Only room for about 10 varieties in the rotation. So far very impressed with CDA, Buzzone, and Moscatel Preto.

Never heard of Buzzone or CDA, both sound very good.
How many varieties are you growing?

Are there any still available by chance?
