What is your after summer beginning of fall anthracnose report
« on: September 24, 2025, 09:16:09 AM »
Have the day off was looking out the sliding glass door noticed how clean my trees look. So I decided to walk through my mini backyard Grove and make some observations. Surprisingly coconut cream is really clean with the majority of the other trees. The expected exceptions are Dot and Ice Cream but they're not terribly too bad. Of course I have my eye on the tropics but as soon as we get some more pleasurable temperatures I think I will spray Organocide Plant Doctor  Mono- and Di-potassium salts of Phosphorous Acid. Which will also  provide a nutritional boost. I guess I'll invest in a battery operated sprayer since the trees are getting large. Next season after harvest I'm going to have to do some pruning. PPK had monsterous growth this season. In my experience it is much more vigorous than orange sherbet. Could be location it does get and receive more sunlight. Would like to hear from other forum members their assessment of their grove and potential plan of action🙂

I'll spray one tree at a time don't want anything too heavy. Not fat but lazy or just getting more wise with age

M4 is a extraordinary delicious late to  very late season mango

Nothing to complain about …. yet!
And I’d like to keep it that way.  I was in a conversation at the last big mango event at the Palm Beach convention center earlier in the year and recall someone recommending a spray of diluted hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) to keep trees and fruits clean.

It was the first I was hearing of this and I wonder if anyone here has experience with this practice.

What is the mix ratio, when is it applied?  What PPE is recommended?  What are your observed results?

Thanks for your input.

Orange Sherbet is the most vigorous tree in my yard - I tried sticking with the slower growers besides this one.

Trying to graft a "whole extended season" on my 4 in ground trees and waiting to size up either CeciLove or Amrapali for the 5th and likely last spot in my yard.

So far everything is looking clean - just trying to promote growth.

After digging last yrs calendar out, realized 2025 hanging by desk is the one lol don't make that mistake.
I see I wrote nothing down other then spraying grass near trees with azoxystrobin.  Less then 1oz.
Determined fungus was cause of dead spots & it worked.

Sulfur i sprayed for powdery mildew a few times & learned 1 tablespoon per gal is enough.  It's 99% S.

Copper sprayed a couple times too late, after seeing anthracnose.

Just thought- 2025 Mango thread might have what & when i sprayed!  Will check later.

M4 got anthracnose the worst, clipped almost everything off & flowered again so not total loss.
Edit- Phoenix had anthracnose bad and all bb size mangos fell off.  Tree hasn't given me any fruit yet.
Clean trees were Pickering, Cogshall, Maha, Raw Honey.  Kent set lots of good fruit go figure.
