That's a very nice collection. Good job!

So does the sour star fruit not ever sweeten up or does it get a little sweet?

Been meaning to get another starfruit as well, maybe 3rd time will turn out a bit better. How much did you pay for that?

I want to say no b/c it's embarrasing hihihi, yes it is, I am learing to airlayer, its been 3 weeks, I opened to check yesterday but no root yet, my family said it looks like a vietnamese ham (bo' gio`)

SWRancher

I bought this logan airlayer before I joined this forum. therefore I did not know tropical fruits have varieties, I just bought it b/c it was flowering, But for sure that has changed,  I am not the same any more, This forum has made me to become much more sophisticated when it comes to tropical fruits now. Next time I will have to find out what variety it is before purchasing it

Hello VyVy, nice plants. Your mystery guava looks like strawberry or lemon guava (Psidium cattleianum), both are very good tasting. Air layers going to take lot more than 3 weeks! It's best not to remove bag to check. You can squeeze the moss. When roots start forming the moss will get harder. Will take several months to be well rooted. Interesting that anyone is still selling sour starfruit. Here it is almost extinct.

I've been looing for sour star fruit for the last 2 years. It goes perfectly with any kind of vietnamese rolls. All these time I thought the cant' grow it, but according to you, it seems like they don't want to grow them. Thanks for the tips about airlayering, I will remember to do as you instructed

xeno

I am not sure if I understood your question :)
Do you want a branch? Certainly, once my tree is strong and healty, I only had it down to the ground a few months ago

None of the nurseries here grow sour starfruit because nobody wants to buy it. I think the only tree was at the arboretum and even that was cut down.  :'(

There are heavily loaded trees of sour starfruit where my grandmother lives in China and nobody picks them. I'm not sure if the handful of Vietnamese households use those but they'd have no competition.

Starfruit looks great. Love the others as well.
Grow mainly fruits, vegetables, and herbs.

Hi VyVy,
Them trees look great! 8) Don't worry, the acerola airlayer will root, give it time  ;) BTW how long did your June Plum take to flower for the first time?

A friend has visited Jamaica and she didn't like June Plum at all :o Maybe, it's just to sour :-\

Thanks for sharing :)
Time is like a river.
You cannot touch the same water twice, because the flow that has passed will never pass again.
Enjoy every moment of your life!
