Hey TFF,  I have available this Eugenia uniflora var Dwarf Orange in a 10g Root Trapper fabric grow bag for $140.It’s Sellami ‘s favorite Pitanga, he says it has citrus flavors with no astringency or bad aftertaste.  It’s ready to go into a bigger pot or in the ground. It had 4 flowers this year but no fruit set so probably next year. Seed was obtained from Sellami and the other growers that bought seeds  from him the fruit are true to seed having bright orange fruits. The is also a small branch of Marta’s Guaruja Red Pitanga that I grafted on in the Spring.I much prefer pick up because of its size to build a reinforcement to protect it and shipping cost. If someone must have it shipped it’s not going to be cheap. The biggest box I have available in the picture is 15x15x48. Shipping for this box size rate from Pirateship UPS Ground 50lbs from NC to FL is around $55 and NC to CA is $95. Plus additional $15 handling to cover box and 1x2 wood that is needed. Any ? please ask and have a great day.

This is what I would do if I need to ship this Pitanga. These are pictures of when I shipped a Eugenia pisiformis in a 5 gallon pot recently.

I recently trimmed it some to where it should fit in the box with very minimal trimming. Most of the branches are flexible. Also reduced the price to $140.

I found out by putting in different measurements that I can save the buyer around $15 by reducing the box height only 3” to make it 45”.
The first 2 pics are to CA showing the difference and the last 2 is to around Tampa FL. To see the exact shipping charge to you go check the rate at pirateship.com from zip code 27295 15x15x45 at 50lbs. If the buyer wants the plant sent semi bareroot I might be about to reduce the shipping cost some more to where it’s around 20lbs and a wood cage wouldn’t be necessary. Might be able to reduce the height too with bareroot. I will need to ship it exactly 3 weeks from now due to medical treatments so the weather should be cooler across the country, perfect for shipping UPS Ground. I also won’t charge the $15 handling if shipped bareroot as I would keep the grow bag and won’t need to buy and build a wood cage.

That's pretty funny. Never received a tree in wood frame before.

Yeah I tend to go overkill on protection and tape. I will have to with this Pitanga as it’s 43lbs just the plant and 10 gallon pot. Most sellers would be pickup only with a plant this size.
