I went and checked out the neighborhood Turpintine and saw that it has a couple of bunches of fruits already set high up in the canopy. Here's a slightly blurry zoomed in picture:

There was also blooms all over the rest of the tree so it looks like another good year of juice boxes.

The low last night (12/30) was the lowest of this winter here in St Petersburg at 37.4 F. Our low last November 12th was 39.2 F which kick off our inital booms.

My Angie has been blooming for awhile but has been having some issues with foliar scab. I've sprayed it twice with copper since it started pushing blooms but I'm still seeing damaged blooms/leaves with issues.

My other trees that are actively blooming are Honey Kiss, NDM#4, Pickering,, & Rosigold.

Both PPK/Lemon Meringue & Cecilove have yet to push any blooms.

I don't think they'll let you down!  :)  CeciLove was late in blooming last year.  Keep us posted.

Wishful thinking, or does this look like fruit set on my seedling Madame Francis?

Alas, there is some Powdery Mildew on my Florigon graft 🫤

About half my sugarloaf bloomed before Christmas. Gorgeous blooms as always on E-4. Lots of female flowers. Good fruit set so far. Nothing else blooming yet but any day now I’m sure after that cold snap last week.

A couple more pics from the week before Christmas. Just gorgeous panicle colors on sugarloaf, and so far more female flowers this year than ever. Tree is about 13 x 12. Been in ground 7 years. (Sugarloaf is the one with flowers on it, lol)

some of the more interesting stuff that is blooming

I'm noticing much better fruit set than last year- most likely to many more nights being in the 60s- after a 4-5 day cold front- temps are back up to around 80/62 F. Hopefully this pattern holds for everybody in the state without freezing.

Phoenix- never had so much fruit set

Edward- there is fruit set there, you just have to look hard

Phoenix tree

Super Julie- not sure if I'll let it hold fruit- opinions welcome Tree is just under 6x6'- 1 1/2" trunk Caliper

Creme Brulee- never had this much fruit set- hopefully it holds this year

My Maha and Glen are blooming and setting fruitlets profusely. Nice red stems, so far no PM that I have noticed.
Looking to be a great year!

It looks like another prolonged cold front should be arriving in mid-January.  This could be an exceptional mango year.

Have you managed the size of your Maha tree?  Would you consider it easy to do with annual pruning?  How does it compare to Glenn in that respect?

Noticed a few SL fruitlets have a black spot on them, another had turned totally black. A decent amount of happy green ones, so not freaking out. Gonna stick with sulfur, spraying at sunset.

John, i have and prune both (Maha and Glenn) taking away about 1/3 of canopy every year after the fruit come off. The trees are about 20 yrs old. Both fruit well after pruning.

FINALLY! Unbeknownst to me, my 2017 seedling Pim Seng Mun flowered AND set fruit!

It's about time! They better be good.

Honest Abe, good to see you back! How's your Bailey's Marvel doing?

Hey Fliptop, it’s been a while. Lot of fishing and family since I’ve been on here last. Back on my mango game now.

My Baileys is great I keep her about 12x12. Got 87 mangos from her last summer. Didnt tip her at all this year post-harvest like i usually do, hoping for a banner crop. No bloom yet but she is nice and dormant, I’m sure she’s ready to pop off like a Chinese firework any day now. Will have pics soon. Hope all is well.

SL is showing better fruit set mostly on lower branches, and in patches. Southside is pretty good, but not on all branches/panicles. East side up high shows almost no fruit set, and this side gets the most sun and wind. Should be an okay season for SL, which would be fine with me. Not worried about it thanks to great fruit set on Edward and the Ceci Love branches that we have going. Lots of clean fruitlets.

Should be in the 50's by next weekend, and had some cold over the Holiday that has yet to show its results.

Hoping mmm4 will be truly late season this year. No action yet, and super happy about it. Kesar, CC, and Guava/Sien ta Lone are sleeping. OS and ST are shooting some spikes, but not much yet. Potted Lil Gem is flowering already, probably won't let it hold till next year. It could be a long season if things pan out. Eating WA apples and soon some CA moyas in the meantime, along with plenty of ber (Indian/Thai jujube).

I stunted Maha, Venus and Tommy by trying to let them hold fruit. I though they were big enough 5ftx6ft 1 3/4" caliper, but they never grew or flowered. They will be allowed to recover this year.

More blooms on Orange Essence, Candy Corn, Crystal, and Edward.
Cac is flowering for the first time only about 25% and with that

Orange Sherbet and PPK are the only trees from the original planting that have yet to bloom for me.

I still got nothing flowering so for those of you in same boat, you're not alone lol.
We'll see what the next chilly days & nights brings.
Guess bright side's if they do flower & late, warm temps help fight powdery mildew.

Definitely blooms to come, hang tight ya'll!

Glenn is about to pop, lots of tiny spikes showing. Edward, Sugar Loaf, Ceci Love, and OS will be the 1st crop. mmm4, Coco Cream, and kasturi are the holdouts

Forecast to be in the mid 40's overnight Thursday here, then about 5 nights in the 50's. A little rain predicted, but not much. Should be good bloom trigger, and hopeful no damage to current fruitlets. I wonder how the early fruits and blooms are gonna deal with that much cold up there in central FL.

I have had similar experience with some juvenile trees. Some of them require more patience and support, and a few of them just don't want to thrive. I do my best to select for the trees that grow and produce well, but in some cases I wasted years.

The predicted temps seem to indicate the end of the season here.
