Anybody using Glee potting mix?
« on: May 24, 2022, 12:51:09 PM »
Hi,

I saw it mentioned in a YT growing channel.
It's shipped in a condensed state and expands to 2.5 the size.
Thanks,

brian

I've never heard of this product, but in general I would be shocked if anything mailed is cost-effective compared to making your own mix from similar ingredients supplied from local landscaping or big-box stores.

I think the thing about this, and similar products is that it uses a realtively new product called HydraFiber.  It is made from southern white pine, and once processed, it looks sort of like fiberglass insulation.  It is supossed to make potting mixes better.  Havent tried it but it looks interesting!

Dont know anything about it either saw greenhousemega carrying it. What was your main interest in the product, price, content and results? Also what were planning on using it for? Since you live in the states, why not visit your local gardenstore. You can get a ready mix soil. Or buy the base ingredients, drainage, add your own amendments and minerals to cater to what you are growing limit the amount of junk some brands add. It can be quite fun mixing your own.
