If you look toward the bottom left side of the enclosure you’ll see the small white 250 watt space heater regulated by a thermo cube.
I juice the fruit and use it to make lemon pie. I need to try to make lemon curd or some other lemon recipe.

Thanks for the explanation. At which temperature starts your space heater ? Last winter I had some citrus in a shed, also with regulated heater and I started the heater if temperature dropped below - 2,5 ° C and worked well.

The thermo cube comes on at 35 degrees F and turns off at 45 degrees F. It comes preset. You don’t set temperature on it. There is another brand called Heatit that I be been buying at Lowes or on Amazon that has a little red light that comes on when it turns on at 35 degrees; this is nice because I can see that the heater is on when it gets below freezing outside. I like the heaters because they are low power but have fans that move the air around and they don’t explode like heat lamp bulbs have in years past. The heaters I have are made by Soleil or a brand called My Heat.

Most of my cold frames are just 4x4’s and 2x4’s frames that get covered in 4 mil plastic on roof and three sides with a roll-up 4th side or “door” that is stapled to a bord that is hung on ladder hooks when above freezing to vent excess heat so trees stay dormant. I also have a few portable greenhouses that are easy to zip up but those are staked to ground with rebar stakes so they don’t blow away since I have high winds in winter. The pvc pipe frame covered in 4 mil method works well too but not as easy to cover and uncover to vent often especially when it gets taller.

Thats a good temperature 35 ° F when the space heaters start to work, good and easy concept. I still have a temperature regulation for my green house, but I independent from your information put my minimum temperature, when the heater starts, also to about 35 ° F and it worked well for all m citrus. I only have more power in my heaters because I wanted to be save also with cooler temperatures, but seeing your example, I sure have oversized :D.

Citradia, let me know how that lemon curd works.
I tried limoncello with mine last year, but the piney taste overwhelmed it.
The pies are great for sure. I also used the zest to make a seasoning salt with basil and garlic, and it was excellent!

My citrangequats pull heavy duty in most of my cooking, but the zest doesn't work great. They're too thin skinned and the zest is bitter like a key lime. The indian dry cleaner I gave some to made some pickled citrangequats and gave me some to taste. They're actually tasty.
But the aroma of the ichang is great. So i'm still trying to find recipes for them...

Zest from my Lakeland limequat was good and they make excellent lime pie. My bergamot and Saint Teresa lemon make good zest too.
