This morning!
It is a fast grower! My tree is about 5ft now but it's been close to 7 ft now on it's way to about 3ft where itll stay. Its in a 2-3 gal pot ,when it looks unhappy i root prune it and plop it back in the pot with some new soil and its happy again. When I bring it indoors I do have to prune it about once a month to keep it manageable. They must get big quick in the ground!Looking good Bill!
I saw the mother tree at the F and S park, and boy is it gigantic.
My plant just started to flower, but no set yet.
Hoping it will be worth keeping as I like sour fruits.
It's ok if you like sour apricot flavor. It has more potential processed into preserve. It grows like a weed in Florida and has a wide bush growth habit.
If your lacking room I would skip, if you have plenty of room and want a bullet proof fruiting plant then I would recommend it.
Looking good Bill!Me and my son will pick them early and see who can keep them in there mouth the longest lol. It's almost painful when they arnt fully ripe. Won't be long until you can post a youtube vid of your face eating unripe ones!!!
