In July I've ordered guava and avocado scions from Kevin. There was delaying in shipping, scions came 23 days after sending and guavas were completely died. I asked to resend them and Kevin did it. Scions were well prepared for international shipping and came in perfect condition. Most of grafts took. Thank you, Kevin

Picked up a Wango 4 today in box of goodies. Will post pics later. This one looks different.

Could I ask you to send me a couple of seeds, if I give you USA address? I'd later share the information about it's cold hardiness in our climate:)

Roblack in other threads about this has said that he isn't going to give out seeds for these varieties at the moment.

Thank you for information, but maybe heíll change heís opinion? :)

Thanks Kevin. Received yesterday my scions after 2 week's journey. They were shipped in a few hours after ordering, well packed, nice size and a lot of extras

All I wish for is a mango that can take temps down to 25F. That's it. My fingers are crossed that one of the wild mango crosses will have some cold hardy genes. It's a long shot though.

The same with me :) Mangos are my favourite fruits, I had high hopes that Tim Thompson will succeed, but it seems, unfortunately, he couldn't. I even ordered Gomera seeds, and seedlings really have some cold tolerance, at least, they continued to grow in fall and started in spring in my unprotected greenhouse, while others still stay dormant, but of course, it's not enough to withstand our cold winter.

Do you have Abiu E4 seeds?

Hi, Nexxogen. I'm in the same situation - if i order it and there will be no opportunity to  graft the scions immediately because of some reasons ( job, cold weather in my region 9a ), I should think about how to store them. Could you find the answer?

Tropical Fruit Discussion / White sapote seed doesnít sprout
« on: September 14, 2020, 07:23:04 AM »
In April Iíve ordered ten white sapote seeds on  Ebay from USA. Because of pandemic they came only after month and partially rotted. Just for experiment I wrapped they in wet paper and put in plastic bag. Then changed the paper every second day. When they appeared completely rotted threw them out. Eventually when only two left I noticed small outgrowth in the middle of one, carefully cleaned the rotted soft part( about half of seed) and put again in bag. After one week it sprouted small root. When it reached 2 inches I put it in  pot with soil mixture. Now 3 months left but thereís no changes above the surface. The seed is greenish and I can see the origin of the roots, white and quiet thick, so itís obviously isnít dead. You can see on picture second seed, which I cleaned too, it made root a week later, was also put in pot and now about 15  inches tall. Did someone see something like that ? What do you think, will it eventually sprout or thereís no chances and I loose my time?

In spring Iíve bought some seeds on Ebay, labeled as ę eucalyptus deglupta Ľ. Month later after sprouting I understood that itís something obviously not eucalyptus but decided for interest continue to grow it. Seller didnít respond to request to explain this. Could someone help me?

3 weeks after sprouting

3 months later
