I had a few red ilama plants. About two months old. One after the they were infested with fungii. I read in sites tgat for ilama anona glabra is a good rootstock. I hithed(fused)them to glabra plants. Wonderful. Now they are growing with huge leaves and vigorously. I do that with other anonas too
I'd planted a Rose apple (probably from seed) for 4 years. The trunk is almost 2" but no flower yet; how old is your tree?
That happens with my wax apple so it's probably a normal thing.how long do they normally take to start swelling?
That’s a weird thing to say, maybe they do not understand how Annona defoliation works?
I’ve seen Rollinia fruiting in Goleta, so it is possible anywhere south of that.
It can be done.
Rollina is also extremely variable from seed with a wide native range and genetic pool and no named or known selections that can be traced somewhere .
Finding the region in Central America or South America that has the most cold adapted Rollinia Deliciosa is a worthy search.I heard in a fruit&spice park tour the lady said the Rollinia is the hardiest Annona there. So maybe planting a Rollinia in SoCal near a pond or something to increase humidity could work
