Hey my fruit friends,

I have a Psidium australe var suffruticosum seedling up on auction on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/186286296840 The seeds of this species sold out in less than 24 hours at $15 each at Bellamy Tropicals, that’s just how rare these are. This is probably the first time they have been imported into the USA that I know of. I also have a Psidium ganevii Caatinga, Psidium sp Folha Estrieta e Lisa Caatinga and a Eugenia punicifolia var Caatinga Roundleaf. I pass all of the eBay shipping discounts to the buyer and I combine shipping to save you $ when multiple auctions are won.

Also have a community pot of 2 Eugenia oblongata seedlings in a deep tree pot for $24 plus shipping. I can ship with any of the eBay auctions or separately using pirateshipping for discounted rates. By itself should be around 5lbs 16x8x8 box from 27295. This species was found in Bahia Brazil and the fruit is reported to be very good with sweet and some sour taste. Very ornamental plant too.

Hey TFF,

I was gifted these seeds from a friend so I’m selling them for around what they go for as seeds. They need to go into  bigger deeper pots than what they are in now as they will look better in no time but I have ran out of room with the cold weather here.  I can ship these 5 semi bare root together in a large flat rate USPS box for $19. If on the East Coast shipping will be cheaper using priority or ground shipping around $10. With semi bare root I just lightly knock off any loose media that the roots aren’t holding on too, add some damp coir, wrap in damp paper towel and then wrap in cling plastic wrap.  Send a PM if interested along with zip code for an exact shipping price. Payment with PayPal Friends and Family.

Thanks,

David

After some thought I am deciding to sell my Eugenia ternatifolia Uvaia maracujá. Only reason is I need to focus on dwarf species that can fruit well in a pot easily and not get too tall. This is a very rare species in Brazil and very ornamental with new leaves coming out reddish brown with a bright green midrib vein. Fruits are reported to taste much better than common Uvai Eugenia pyriformis with a sweeter passionfruit flavor. Apparently the leaves must taste good too as the inch worms were liking it the best. I will send it well protected inside a 18x6x6 box with guessed weight around 4.5lbs using USPS Priority shipping or UPS ground if within 4 day delivery time and weather permits. I use Pirate Ship for discounts. To get you an idea Tampa FL is $7 and CA is $15 UPS Ground or $19 UPS 3 day. There is a little room in this box to send a couple small plants so check out my other post to see those. One of those species is a very nice variety of Eugenia punicifolia with sweet fruits and smaller round tip leaves from the Caatinga. I can send them semi bare-root $8 each of 2 for $12 with no extra shipping cost. Send payment through PayPal. Any ? please PM me. Thanks and have a great day, David

This is shipping to 90210 CA

I have a large rare Ficus austrocaledonica that I need to get rid of, no room in the house this winter in NC. Seed obtained from Rare Palm Seeds back in 2012 and this is the form with red stipules, half were red and half were white out of the 24 or so seedlings. The fruit is reported to be edible but I don’t know how good it is.$10 plus actual shipping charge. If you live in Florida that was hit by hurricane Ian it is free just pay actual  shipping. I checked with Pirate Ship and UPS ground is $70 to FL for the big box. This is the biggest box I can find and I’m still going to have to trim it back before shipping and reinforcements of course.

Hey Myrtaceae Maniacs I have my last Eugenia pisiformis that I’m willing to let go on a raffle on the Myrtaceae Mania on Band.

I have heard some hobbyists on here say that some very rare species are priced so high that they are unobtainable, well I can’t do anything about that it’s just supply and demand but I can do a raffle at $5 a spot with 36 spots. Just 1 germinated seed retails for around $160 from Seedshunter the only source of this species outside of Brazil that I know of. Any ? please ask on the Band group. Thank you.

Picture of the fruit from Sellami.

Actual seedling being sent to the winner no shipping charge anywhere in the USA and PR.

Hey fellow Tropical Fruit Growers,

I have a few Ficus austrocaledonica plants on auction that I grew from cuttings from last year. They are very well rooted now. Apparently the fruit is edible but it is grown mainly as an ornamental. I would just do a buy it now price on here but I really don’t know what a reasonable price would be for them because they are uncommonly sold. Price starts at $22 each and $40 for 2. If you have any ? let me know.

Thanks,

David
